We provide unbiased, independent commercial and residential flooring inspections throughout Michigan (Lansing, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Midland, Kalamazoo, Traverse City) and Illinois (Bloomington, Chicago, Champaign, Peoria, Springfield), additionally serving Indiana (Fort Wayne, Indianapolis), Ohio (Toledo, Cleveland, Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus), Wisconsin (Madison, Milwaukee), Missouri (St. Louis), and have inspected as far as Los Angeles and Canada.

When there is disagreement and finger pointing, an unbiased third-party inspector is usually needed to determine the cause of a flooring-related failure or textile performance issues. LeVante is a Certified Master Inspector with more than 32 years of training and hands-on experience in the hard and soft surfaces flooring and textile industry. LeVante has earned certification credentials from FCITS, IICRC, CFIU, AFS, FITS, NALFA, Von Schrader, Edge Flooring, and the Carpet Cushion Council. We are committed to continuous professional development to stay up-to-date on new products and their specific installation requirements and guidelines, and applicable industry standards.
LeVante has passed criminal, sex offender, drug use/activity, and felony background checks. He is a nonsmoker and does not consume alcoholic beverages.
Choosing the right inspector
When selecting an inspector, make sure their credentials are current, and feel free to use any inspector with proper training, experience, and verifiable certification. If a company only accepts reports from one certification body, that’s a potential red flag. There is more than one organization that certifies and trains inspectors, just as many different schools grant high school diplomas and college degrees that are accepted for employment, as long as one can show knowledge through education, training, and testing.
Hobbies
In his spare time, LeVante enjoys restoring and renovating old historic houses. He performs most of the deconstruction and renovations himself. He is constantly working with concrete footings, structural framing, electrical, heating, plumbing, and roofing.
